YVR Ground Run-up Enclosure

MBG Constructors Inc. is proud to be selected for the erection of Canada’s first Ground Run-up Enclosure at YVR Vancouver International Airport.  The steel structure installation began in Sept 2011 and is slated for completion in December 2011.  This state-of-the-art Ground Run-up Enclosure by Blast Deflectors Inc. is the first of its kind in Canada and will mitigate noise from engine run-ups on the surrounding communities by absorbing and redirecting sound away from residential areas. Meadow Gardens Golf

Location: Pitt Meadows, BC
Size: 2,000 sq.ft
Completion: 2011

This building serves as a cover for the Golf Course’s driving range. The main frames of the building has a special protective paint coating to protect the steel from the weather elements as well as a fully painted roof to brighten the structure up as it is located next to the highway.

Vancouver Urban Search and Rescue Warehouse

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Size: 6,700 sq.ft
Completion: 2011

This metal building was built for the City of Vancouver for their new Urban Search and Rescue Warehouse. This new faciility will serve as a training area and warehouse for Vancouver’s Search and Rescue Team. The building comprises of composite polyurethane roof and wall panels, Kalwall translucent daylight system and custom fabricated stairs and training platform each with its own complexities.

SaskPower Yellowhead Power Station

Location: North Battleford, Saskatchewan
Size: 22,000 sq.ft
Completion:  2010

This project was commissioned by Saskatchewan Power Corporation as part of their Gas Turbine Power expansion to service the provinces increasing energy needs.  Each of the four steel buildings supplied and installed were designed to exact specifications to meet required loadings and clearances for significant equipment installations.  The Metal Building Group also designed, fabricated and installed the complex roof top walkway system which is fully integrated and supported by the pre-engineered steel structure below. To meet the high insulating demands of the project we utilized polyurethane core insulated metal panels for the roof and wall system.
